Climate Assessment - Tri Service Example

Please ensure you are using Google Chrome to complete the survey

To be operationally effective, the Army must recruit and retain individuals with a mix of skills from across society and enable them to be the very best they can be.

Key to this is making sure Commanders/ Line Managers understand what it is like for those serving or working within their unit/ establishment or team, so they can make informed decisions to change things where they are not quite as they should be - or learn from what has worked well elsewhere. Climate Assessments gather information from personnel to help Commanders/ Line Managers better understand the 'lived experience' within their unit/ establishment through the production of a Climate Assessment report based on the data collected. All personnel (military and civilian) are asked to complete this survey.

By completing and submitting the survey you are giving your consent to take part in the assessment; however you do not have to fill it out if you don't want to and will not be disadvantaged in any way. The survey should take around 20 minutes to complete.

All surveys are anonymous and your answers will be treated in the strictest confidence. You can't be identified by your results and your individual survey responses will not be seen by your Chain of Command/ Line Management chain.  All the responses are grouped together, for example, if you are the only female REME Sgt in the Unit, your unit will not be able to see this specific data and will only see the combined data of the entire unit.  We don't ask for your name or Service/ Staff Number and if you used an identifying token to access this survey, please note that the token will not be stored together with your responses.

Demographic Data

Any demographic data collected (i.e. cap badge, rank, ethnicity etc.) will not be included within the Climate Assessment report.  This data will be used specifically for pan-Army data analysis purposes and cannot be used to identify any individual.
